The Police Handball teams delivered an impressive performance at the UHF Handball Champions League held from 11th to 18th April, a prestigious competition featuring the top four teams from the previous season.
The Police Women’s Handball team emerged champions after defeating Prisons 32–24 in the final, securing their fourth consecutive Champions League title.
The victory demonstrates their continued dominance, consistency, and winning mentality, firmly establishing them as the team to beat in the competition.
On the men’s side, the Police team showcased determination and significant progress, clinching Silver after a hard-fought final against UPDF.
Their performance reflects a growing competitive edge and signals a promising future as they continue to build a strong and formidable squad.
Speaking after the finals, Head Coach Aziz Yakub praised both teams for their commitment and resilience. He said the women’s team has maintained a high level of excellence with remarkable consistency, while the men’s team’s Silver medal represents steady progress and a strong desire to compete at the highest level.
“These results show the hard work, discipline, and unity within our teams. The ladies have once again demonstrated their class, and the men are steadily rising to challenge the best. The future is very promising,” he said.
